Compulsive Buyer...

So today I went to Wal-Mart, my favourite store. I ended up spending like $40-something dollars on like stupidness. I'm such a compulsive buyer it's not even funny. I mean, when I'm broke, I can be thrifty and not spend alot, but when I've got money, I've just gotta spend it for some reason. Today I bought lotsa candy, cookies, juice, socks, makeup, and blank video tapes. And there went my $40 odd dollars. I'm disgusted with myself. I really shouldn't have spent that much. Worse still, last night I bought a couple of books off of Amazon.ca with my credit card. They were a good price of course, but still, I spent quite a few pennies on those orders. I didn't need them for school or anything either, just wanted to read them. At least I got Kushiel's Chosen and Kushiel's Avatar by Jaqueline Carey in hardcover for really cheap. I think it's just the thrill of recieving things in the mail that made me order them online. I know, I'm a sick sick girl! I really need to stop buying things I don't really need. It's so hard when I go to the mall though. I feel aweful if I leave without buying a single thing. Spending is an addiction for me. Spend spend spend... LOL. I think I'm channeling McDavid.

Speaking of McDavid, I really really have to email her. I'll do it tonight for sure. I've gotta see when she wants to go for coffee and stuff. I can't wait to see St. Mary's Musical Review. I hope it'll be good. Stupid jerks. Why couldn't they have put on a production like this when I was still at the school. It would've been so much fun. Oh well, I'm bitter, what do you want me to do about it?

It's finally Saturday! I've been waiting for Saturday to come all week and now it's finally here. I can't believe it. I also can't believe I'm conscious right now. Damn it's early. How do people do it? The only reason I'm up is because I didn't sleep. If I had I'd still be passed out right now. Ahh sleep. But I'm too excited to sleep right now cause today my b/f is coming for a visit. Woo Hoo! I'm all giddy. Actually that might just be the drunken feeling you get when you don't sleep. Naww... I'm giddy. I've missed him sooooo much and now he's finally coming.

Okay, enough gushing. My poor lil sis came downstairs to watch tv with me at like 4:30 AM because she couldn't sleep. She said she didn't feel comfortable because she couldn't turn in her bed. Poor lil thing. She looks like Hell. She's not used to the all nighters like I am I guess. Gotta love the insomniacs. I know you're all jealous.

Today's Drama...

So today was a strange day indeed. Firstly, it was my "cool" aunt's birthday so she came by for dinner and brought ice cream cake. Mmmm... yummy. That wasn't the strange part though. Today we had a bit of a family drama because my littlest sister had to go to the hospital. The crazy kid broke her collar bone while playing basketball at recess. She accidently tripped over the ball and fell badly on her right shoulder. My mum had to leave work to go pick her up from school and take her to the hospital. She called me to tell me that my sis had hurt her shoulder but it turned out that she'd actually managed to break her collar bone. The poor kid has to wear a brace and they put her on Tylenol 3s. I feel bad for her. She looked like she was really hurting when she got home. No more roughhousing for her for a while. Other than that, the day was fine. Lotsa cleaning and stuff b/c my b/f is comming over today! YAY! I miss him lots. Haven't been able to see him all week. I'm gonna bug him so much tomorrow. Muahahahaha <evil laughter>! It's gonna be great. Oh well, guess that's it for now. Everyone take care, and try not to brake your collar bones cause it looks bloody painful. Laters.

So today was my second day of cramming... er... I mean studying for my uni exams which start next week. Film's up first. For some reason, I'm not as worried about this exam as I am of my Astronomy exam. I know it's gonna be hard, but at least the stuff makes sense to me whereas astronomy for me is like a fish with a bicycle; it just isn't logical.  I hate hate hate astronomy! I wish they'd take their quantum physics and shove it up their... *ahem*. Oh well. I promise I will not bitch about my studying anymore. Well I won't write about it in my blog anymore because I know it's probably as annoying as Hell. I apologize for boring you all with my pissing and moaning.

So today, during one of my breaks, I decided to fool around in ImageReady and I made this LJ Icon avatar thingy.  The pic is from Peter Pan but the quote is from Pirates of the Carribbean. I'm a fan of both movies and I thought the quote fit the pic so there you have it. Use it if you wish. All I ask is for a link back. Merci.



Anyways, I've decided that I like the song "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" by The Darkness. I used to loathe that song and I hated the video, but somehow that loathing has turned into liking and I've been listening to it like all day. I think it's warping my mind. Strange song really, but catchy as hell. I've also reversed my opinion of Billy Talent. I quite like them as well.

So you wanna hear something funny? My mum asked me if I wanted her to get tickets to a Christina Aguilera concert for my birthday. Bwahahahahahahaha! I laughed at her for like a good five minutes. My mum's so cute, but totally clueless sometimes. I can't even imagine her and I together at a Christina Aguilera concert, with the skanky costumes and the suggestive dancing. Good lord, that would be something else.

I can't wait until the weekend. My b/f is coming to see me and we're all going out to dinner (We meaning me, my b/f and the rest of the family) for my aunt's B-day. I call her the cool one cause she's just a kick ass aunt. Only bad part of that is that I have to clean up. Well that, and the weekend means only a few days till my first exam. Ahhh... death. Oh well, it's a small price to pay I guess.

Well I should probably get back to studying. It's all so very boring. Oh well. Laters.

I'm stuck at home today with my mountains of books to study... erm... cram from before exams. God I hate UofT. Why won't it just die? Sucks to be UofT. I am so bored right now. I really hate Astronomy. Why the hell did I take it? Oh wait a minute... That's right... UofT has stupid distribution requirements and I am supposed to have a science credit even though I am an arts student. Hate hate hate!!! The worst part of today is that I can't even see my b/f whom I usually meet downtown on Mondays and hang out with him. GRRRRRRR! Studying is no fun! Why can't I just be a hobo? Who needs an education. Damn institutions. Damn universities and their insane tuition fees. I hate them all!
